Hi! I’m gINA NERCISIAN

Licensed Clinical Social Worker and PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certified)

ABOUT ME

I am a psychotherapist, a passionate advocate for perinatal mental health, and a mom of twin toddlers. Having experienced the ups and downs of parenthood myself, I particularly love helping parents navigate the complexities of the perinatal period—whether you're adjusting to pregnancy, dealing with postpartum challenges, or seeking support during the early years of your child’s life. My goal is to offer a compassionate, understanding space where you can talk openly about your experiences, explore your feelings, and build the emotional resilience you need to thrive as a parent.

My Background

I believe one of the most important aspects of success in therapy is cultivating a good relationship with your therapist. I work mostly with women in early stages of motherhood that are experiencing the anxiety, self-criticism, and self-doubt that come with a transitional period such as this.

My own journey into motherhood is the reason I am so passionate about my work. Often, the struggles a mother endures are hidden. I want to offer a safe space to process those hard emotions and bring them to light.

I graduated with my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. In my professional career, I’ve worked with various populations and addressed many complex experiences with clients. I have worked in inpatient eating disorder settings, non-profit work with children and families, as well as adults with chronic pain struggles. My broad range of clinical experiences has deepened my understanding of human resilience and reinforced my commitment to supporting clients in achieving meaningful healing and growth.

My Approach

As a modern therapist, I take a flexible and personalized approach to therapy. I believe that no two people’s experiences are the same, and that’s why I tailor my methods to fit your unique needs. I’m here to meet you where you’re at. I combine evidence-based techniques with a warm, non-judgmental presence, creating a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to move forward.

If you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the demands of parenthood, I’m here to walk alongside you, helping you build emotional resilience and find balance in the midst of life’s challenges.

If you're looking for a therapist who understands the complexities of parenthood and is dedicated to your emotional well-being, I’d be honored to work with you.
